A reduction of wages and salaries and a reduction simultaneously ot tne cost of living to prevent an intolerable shrinkage. of purchasing power, is one of the main conclusions of an Economic Court which was formed under President Yon Binderberg’s Presidency to guide the Government in the drafting of fresh emergency decrees. The Court decided, that public utilities should reduce their charges, and that rents should he lowered. It [rejected currency .inflation, and urged the clearing up of the reparations debts and the private debts problems. The German Trade Unions opposed the Court’s decisions
