FARMER GORED BY BULL.

DUNEDIN, November 23
Mr Thomas Lyons, a well-known settler of Greenfield, near Balclutha, was fatally gored by a bull on Saturday. The bull, a Holstein, had hitherto been considered a quiet one. It suddenly attacked Mr Lyons. The incident was witnessed by three members of 'his family. One of them drove the animal away, and the other two dragged their father out of the paddock. He was removed to the Balclutha Hospital, where he died today.
YOUTH’S NECK BROKEN
INVERCARGILL, Nov. '23,
A tragic accident occurred .at Dipton on Sunday as the result of. which Leo Edward Crowe, aged 17, the third son of Mr Martin L. Crowe, of Invercargill, lost his life. The deceased was a telegraph messenger, who was spending his annual leave with his uncle, a farmer at Diptou. He was thrown from a horse and sustained a broken neck, death being instnntnreons.
