UNEMPLOYMENT

DOES THE LABOUR PARTY HELP THE WORKER?

It is interesting to note in view of the Labour Parly’s claims regarding the settlement of the unemployment problem, just what the record of the Labour Party in England and Austra!;a reveals.

The latest returns show that in Australia, Queensland has 16 per cent of its workers unemployed, w. ile New South Wales has neaxdy 31 per cent. In .1929 Queenslrnd turned, out its Labour Government for. a Nations - 1 Gcverntrert, vlii’e New' South Wales is at present _ suffering under a Labour administration. Figures sneak for themselves, and it was a good* day for the Queensland workers when-the National Government assumed office.

In. England, the figures are even more'- striking, and the great Labour Leaders, Messrs. MacDonald and •Snowden, realised that they had to get back on a ’sound, sane, footing by assisting the . National Government.

The workers of New Zealand! should take heed of this eloquent lessop, and safeguard their families, their homes, and their jobs by suporting the sane measures and stable Government of the Coalition Party.—L.6.
