In two straight falls, obtained in the fourth and fifth rounds, Stamey Pinto, 14.3, defeated Tom Alley, 13.(5, in thei final of the* New Zealand heavyweight wrestling championship, before a large audience in the Town Hall tonight. Alley nearly had his man with his famous crucifix hold in the third round, but Pinto spun like a Catherine < */‘wheel completely around the ring, and, finally escaped by struggling through the ropes. • \ ■ In the fourth round, Pinto took the aggresfjive, and, applying headloeks, dumped his man heavily twice, the second time securing a fall with a body press.
