SCIENTISTS’ BELIEF
IN RELIGION. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) LONDON, November 19. A number of eminent scientist,, have professed their belief in the underlying principles of religion by means of a questionnaire that was addressed to the Christian Evidence Society to the Follows of the Royal Society. -A full analysis of the scientific beliefs is being published shortly. In the meantime, it is disclosed that the replies to two of the questions l are as follows :
“Do you credit the existence of a spiritual domain?” To this one hundred and twenty scientists answered “yes,” while thirteen answered “no.” “In your opinion, is belief in evolution compatible with belief in a Creator?” there were one hundred scientists who answered “yes,” while five answered “no.”
