SILVER STANDARD
WOULD END DEPRESSION.
(United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.)
LONDON,, November 17
All* Horne, as Chairman of the Silver Association, urges consideration of the suggestion that the Government, with til© support of the Dominions, .should convene', or 'agree”td' , pa‘rfcicipat ; e i*n ! airinternational conference on silver and view its reintroduction on the world’s monetary system.
A complete international agreement perhaps, at present, is impossible says Mr Horne, but nothing is more likely to assist it than an agreement between the British Empire and the United States, with the co-operation of France,
“It is the opinion of the Silver Association that if, as a result of such an agreement, silver were re-introduc-ed as the world’s monetary system, the present depression will end,” said Mr Horne.
