MR O’BRIEN'S CAMPAIGN. Mr J. O’Brien, M.P., who left yesterday for South Westland, will address the electors this evening at Waiho Gorge at 8 o’clock; and tomorrow, November 18th, at Okarito at 6.30 p.m., and at Matainui Public Hall at 8 p.m.; on Thursday, November 19th, at Hariliari Public Hall at 8 o’clock; and on Friday, November 20th, Kakapotahi, at 6.30 p.m., and Waitaha at 8 p.m. HOKITIKA MEETING. At the County Council Chambers, Hokitika, last evening, a meeting of supporters to form a Committee to further the candidature of ivlr J. O’Brien, M.P., in the Westland election was held. There were between fifty and sixty present, and the meeting was a most enthusiastic and successful one. Mr D. Greaney was voted to the chair. The meeting was addressed by Mr J. B. Kent, and by other speakers, and excellent reports were submitted as to the prospects of the candidate in the district. - Arrangements were taken in hand for the promotion of Mr O’Brien’s local, campaign, alid all present were constituted 1 a Committee, while the following were elected afs ah Executive:—Chairman, Mr Gfeaitey; Joint Secretaries, Messrs M.
