BOURKE COMMUNISTS LEAVE.

( Australian Press Association)

SYDNEY, November 16. . Two hundred bushmen from all parts of the district assembled at {Bourke pt daylight, and began, a search for the Communists. All the latter, however, had disappeared. The search continues in a widening area.

'SYDNEY. November 16,

Settlers and bushmen on horses and incars converged on Bourke all night long, and then formed themselves into parties, - which at daybreak, began an extensive search for Moxon and other Communists, intending to drive them out of the township, if they had not already gone. By nine o’clock it was clear that they had disappeared, or at. least the keenest eyes were unable to ".discover any sign of them. The anti-Gommunist * leader, Dr Alcorn, is now convinced the Communists have left the river locality, where they ; had been camping. It is reported Dr Alcorn has been telegraphing Mr Scullin, Prime Minister, and the (State Minister of Works,'Hon. Mr Davidson, asking for action to be,taken to deal with Communists, but received no reply. Hon. Mn Davidson’s .reference to 'the matter to-day, was: “I got the wire from some doctor but I took no notice of it, as he is not a responsible person so far as I know. ’
