Having completed the first Invercargill to Auckland air mail fight, Squadron Leader McGregor returned to Wellington with mail to-day. He, left Auckland at 7 7;3(L : avmv with one bag' of mail aboard, and called aft New Plymouth and at Wanagnui, and after picking up a brtg of mail at each town, he landed at Rongotai at 12.15 p.‘m.‘ - The mails ■whmhv w cßttie/ i 'lfy the nmchine were delivered in Wellington on the‘.afternoon- rounds.'-,VTfie time taken by the trip.was tour hours and fortyfive minutes. A. copy of the “Herald,” published in Auckland in the" morning, was delivered .at the. .-‘‘Dominion’’;, office 4>e-: fore 1 p.m. When it was: received,' the previous day’s “Herald” despatched by rail, had not arrived:'' A quantity of the mail-went-td Sydney to connect with the Australia to London air mail, bv. - the. / Marama, which left in. the afternoon.
