ROYAL SHOW
PRAISE OF EXHIBITS,

CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 13. To-day was People’s Day at the Royal Show. The weather was fine, with a cloudy sky and a 000 l breeze, tlifs being a pleasant relief front the heat of the previous days, and the crowds at tjie Show had an enjoyable day. On all hands ..the display of stock in the grand parade was commended, The Governor-General declared that the Show wag one of which New Zealand had every reason to be proud. Hon- D. Jones, Minister of Agriculture, said the exhibition of sheep and cattle wa s the best ever shown ["in New Zealand. The Prime Minister, Mr Forbes, wag* also present at the Show. The takings for the day were £1,495, and the total for the Show £2,129. Last year on People’s Day the takings were £2,042, and the’two days £2,489. In 1927 when the Royal Show was held here, the People’s Day takings were £2,614, and the total £3,302.
