SMALLPOX
ON JAP. STEAMER. PROPOSED MEETING SPOILT. (Australian Press Association.) (Received this day at 12.25. p.m.) SYDNEY 7 , November 13. The Japanese mail steamer Earns Main is in quarantine as a passenger from Shanghai was landed at Thursday Island, suffering from smallpox. One member of the crew had arranged to meet another Englishnfan in Sydney and both intended sailing for New Zealand by the Aorangi. They had not met each other for and were looking forward to the reunion. Their Slopes, however, were ishat'teiecl/ ’'man"' 'who" had keen ' fh S'ydney sailed, but made arrangements to meet liis friend in the Dominion.
