The Government Board’s investigation of the operations at Honiebusli Abattoirs have resulted in a sensational report by the investigator on t'kre city’s account, .saikl Mr A. 'G. Noble.
Mr Noble alleges that there was a startling, waste of Government money in . the construction- ; of the saleyards, which were then abandoned, this loss alone amounting to £190,000, besides smaller wastage's by which the annual less oil the abattoirs would probably reach £IOO,OOO. - Mr /Noble • also mentions charges that the Australian meat market is being detrimentally manipulated by the foreign meat companies with .Argentine affiliations. lie considers the Homebush market should be managed co-operatively.
