SATURDAY, 'NOVEMBER 7th. The concert by the Auckland Municipal Band, will De relayed from the Town Hall -by IYA this evening. A Scottish concert, under the direction of Mr George Stark, will be broadcast by 2YA. Mr Stark will open with an outline of the celebrations of Halloween as depicted in Burns’ , poem “HaL'ow’een,” and will also sing the song “Green 'Grow the Rashes o.’’ Pipe Major Eraser will be heard in two humorous songs. The Etude Quartet will delight listeners with favourite Scottish songs, solos, duets and quartettes. The Salon Orchestra will supply the instrumental music for the evening.

The Dunedin Orphans’ Club, an inimitable band of entertainers and humorists, will transport 4YA and 3YA listeners to an old English Inn. Mine host will be there, the\picture of goodwill and openhanded generosity ; the log" fire will be crackling in the hearth, and rousing choruses will ring through the rafters; wit, crude or subtle, will be there in abundance, and the genial atmosphere cannot but make all forget dull care. There wilr be solos-—instru-mental and vocal; there will be jolly part songs and catches. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9th. - 2YA’s “Musical Portrait” this even-: ing will be “Modern British Composers’ ’ and will be undertaken by Mr Gordon Short, (pianist) and Mr Arthur Clark (tenor) Mr Clark will sing a group of songs by Thomas Dunhill, “Creation Song” from “The Immortal Hour,” by Rutland Broughton, with whom Mr Clark was associated in London, and a song of his own composition “The Water Lily.” Mrs Amy Woodward (soprano) and Mrs Wilfred Andrews (contralto) will, also be singing. The Ochestrina, under Signor A. P. Truda, will play “Seimbent’s Sketch Book” and other tuneful numbers.

Associated with the Woolston Band in then* concert at 3YA will he .Miss Ruby Cleverley (soprano), Mrs Winifred Andrews (mezzo-contralto), Miss Maisie Ottey (piano-novelties), Mr H. Instone (humorist) and the Christchurch Broadcasting Trio. Bandsman Biggs, will'contribute a xylophone solo and Bandsman Ohlson a cornet solo , The lecturer on 4YA’s. International Programme this evening will be Mr C. 0. Billing, Lecturer in Economies at Otago University. He will speak on “International Trade and N.Z. Finances.” . ... Silent day at IYA.
