The Okariito Five-Mile Gold Dredging Company, Ltd., has received advice from the bank regarding the realisation of a shipment of the company’s gold to San Francisco. The weight of tire parcel was 61oz 7dwt 12grs, and the amount of the credit received through the hank was £333 14s 2d. Tliis is equivalent to £5 8s Bd per ounce. Certain small charges have still to he adjusted, but the net price will nut be less tlir.n £5 7s Gd per ounce. A large parcel, comprising 2480z5, is at present, in transit to San Francisco, and it is probable that this shipment will realise an even better price, in view of the recent increase in the price o, fine gold.
