ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. (By Telegraph —Per Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, November 4. There was a double market to day at Addington. Prices in some lines improved, but generally prices were unaltered.

There wa.s a medium yarding of store sheep, chiefly ewes with lambs at foot, and odd lots of dry sheep. Young ewes and forwaid wethers were a shade firmer. Other lots were on last week’s basis.

There was a large .offering of fat sheep, all grades being evenly represented. Alanv .shorn sheep were in evidence. The market opened on last week’s basis, hardening as the sale proceeded, there being barely sufficient to fill the double market requirements. , The Mmarkeit . generally was toned rip by* the /many attractive consignments -on offer. Values were: — Extry heavy wethers 23s to 26s 3d, prime heavy 21s to 22s 6d, prime 19s to 20s 6d, medium 17s to 18s 6d, light 15s to 16s 6d, plain 14s. Exhibition ewes sold to 24s 6d, prime jmm ,#■•?* SpfW? P* $9 1 8 M 6 M medium 15s to 16s 6d, light 13s to 14s, inferior from 12s. Thore was a large yarding of beef, with many medium grade lots. The best quality was selling a.t a slight advance. Medium and plain sorts showed no appreciable change. Extra heavy steers sold to £ls. 12s 6d, heavy £ll 15s to £l3 os, prime £ll 2s 6d to £l2 12s 6d, medium £7 os to £8 ss, plain from £6. Best heifers sold to £lO 17s 6d, prime £7 10s to £8 15s, medium £6 os to £7 6s, light from £5 12s 6d. Besf heavy cows sold to £l2 l'2s 6d, prime .£7 15s to £9 ss, medium £5 os to £6 10s, inferior from £4 2s 6d. Baconers were selling at late rates.’ Porkers sold at 38s to 40s, heavy 42s to 45s 6d, choppers 50s to £6 11s, baconers 46s to 52s 6d, heavy -57 s 6d to £3 2s. Store pigs are selling at late rates.
