LABOUR’S POLICY
STATED BY LEADER. (By Telegraph—Per Press A ssociat.ion ) : WELLINGTON, November 4. Labour’s election policy was enunciated by the Party Leader an:l Leader of the Opposition, Mr H. E. Holland, when lie spoke this evening to a laigw crowd at the Wellington Town Hall. Air Holland dealt with a wide range of subjects, including those of unemployment-, land settlement, taxation, finance and credit, interest charges, the Arbitration Court. The rehabilitation of industry, he contended, was the only solution of the unemployment problem. If a Labour Government, were returned, it would make, immediately, further provision for the unemployed from the Consolidated Fund, while additional grants would be made to the Hospital Boards for the relief of the .distress. At the conclusion of his speech, a resolution was carried, unianimously, in which Air Holland was thanked for his address, and confidence was expressed in the Labour Party and in its policy.
