WEDDING BELLS
PANCKHURST— McMASTER. The wedding was solemnised yesterday afternoon at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Greymouth, of Thelma Eliza, second daughter of Mr and Mrs A. McMaster, Blaketown, and William David, eldest son of Mrs and the late Mr J. Panckhurst, Marsden Road. The ceremony was performed'by tile Rev. G. E. Brown, assisted by,' the Rev. H. R. Fell. The Church had been prettily decorated uy friends, finds a floral wedding bell hung over the place* where the bride and bridegz’oom stood during the service, Tile bride who entered the Church on the arm of her father, wore a frock of shell-pink georgette, neatly fitting to the waist, and finished °h with flared flounces below which fell the gra.eful fully-flared, ank.e-length skirt, tlie pin-tucked s.eeves having flared frihs at the elbow. Her embroidered veil was worn with a coronet ol orange-blossom, and she carried a bou'quet of tulips, roses, Lily of the Valley, and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Lena McMaster, sister of the bride, Wore a frock of seagreen georgette, made on Victorian lines, frilled from the waist to tlid ankles, the cape collar on the bodice being finished off with tnree in as. She was an apricot silk georgette hat made bandeau style with green ana . apricot flowers under the brim. She carried a shower bouquet toning apricot and bronze, consisting of tulips, roses, and maidenhair tern. Mr J. Panckhurst, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. During the service at the church, Mr Restieaux presided at the organ. Alter tne service a reception was held at Harker’s, where the guests were received by Mesdames McMaster and Panckhurst. Mrs McMaster wore a coatee costume of blackri'evefsiiile satin, with lemon vestee, -trimmed touches of black. ' The blabk hat was relieved by touches of lemon broderie anglaise. She carried a bouquet of red sweet peas and ranunculi., Mrs* Panckhurst wore a frock of navy crepe celanese relieved with beige, with a skunk fur arid hat to tone. She carned a, bouquet of mauvesscabiosa, and During the reception a vocal item was rendered by Mrs G. F. Mr and Mrs W. D. Panckhurst later left for the Glaciers by private oar, the bride wearing a travelling dress -of maroon artvel flecked with silver and a silver and maroon close fitting hat. The bride and bridegroorii were the recipients of numerous gifts, including several cheques.
