GREY STOCK SALE
Yesterday’s fixture at the above yards was responsible for a yarding of 39 head of fat cattle and 170 fat sheep. Competition for beef was dragging and a consequent easing in prices followed: Heavy ox beef ranged from 25s to 28s 6d. Lighter finished steers to 395. Sheep sold right up to Addington rates and in some cases over. W. Jeffries and Co. sold as follows: For J. Condon and Sons 32 wethers at 16s !9d, 24 ewes "at- ,-16 s 9d, 44 ditto at 16s and 20 ditto at 16s 9d. For Perry and Co. 2 bullocks at £9 10s, 12 ditto at £9 2s 6d, 2 ditto at £9, 3 ditto at £8 15s, 3 ditto at £B, 2 ditto at £7 17s 6d, 2,-ditto at £8 15s. Privately 4 heifers at £8 10s, 4 cows at £7 15f. rHIGK PRICE FOR WHEAT. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, November 2. A truckload of new season’s wheat to-day brought 3,-TJ per bushel, which is the highest since November, 1929.
