Moscow’s part in the recent Irish troubles was emphasised by the Labour leader, Senator Johnson, in the Senate debate on President Cosgrave’s drastic Irish Constitution Amendment Apt.

The Act, which was passed by the Dajl Eireann by 83 votes to 65, gives to an official tribunal of five military members unprecedented powers to suppress political crime, including the death penalty, and subject to no appeal.
