ANOTHER VESSEL LOST

IN PALLISER BAY. WELLINGTON, October 30. The Secretary of the Marine Department lias received advice to-night that the launch Mataua has bean wrecked in Palliser Bay. Her crew of three are safe. The launch left Fox tun last Tuesday, and she arrived off Mr Ricldiford's station at Orongaongu on Thursday. A supply oi benziwas taken in. and the launch left again at 3 p.m., for \\ eilingtoii. As nothing more had been heard of the vessel this morning some anxiety was felt regarding her safety, and inquiries were made by the Marine Department. It was then learned that the; launch had been wrecked in Palliser Bay. Her crew of three men had reached the shore in safety, and walked to Riddiford’s Station, where they received attention and were put to bed.
