The All Saints’ Birthday Tea Party committee have found it necessary to make tea-time half an hour later than originally announced, to give all comers time to get to the Hall. The Postmaster-General, the- Hon. A. Hami .ton, announced at Wellington yesterday that “charity” stamps will lie placed on sale at all post offices on Saturday in continuation of the antituberculosis campaign commenced in the Dominion at the end of 1929. Two denominations will be availab’e, 3d and 2d. In each case one penny Will be devoted to the fllnd, out of which children’s health camps are being established. The Postmastel'-Gen oral stated that there is urgent need for united action to prevent the spread of tuberculosis amongst children.

Local bodies have been advised by the Prime Minister that the King has approved of the form of service to he held for the commemoration of Armistice Day on Wednesday, November lltli. Two minutes silc-nce will be observed at 11 a.m.. and the local bodies have been asked to arrange for the suspension of all vehicular traffic for the stipulated time at 11 o’clock. It is probable that the local R.S.A. branch will arrange for an assembly of members at the Cenotaph in Cass Square, and observe the period of silence out of respect to fallen comrades.
