The AVestport Howling Club opened their season on -Monday afternoon under pleasant conditions. 36 players taking part in the opening game. M'I.EER BO AY LING CENTRE. The New Zealand Howling Association has notified the AVestport Howling Club that- the Executive of the Council have decided to grant the application to form a new c ent re on the AA’est Coast, provided that the conditions applying to the formation of such centre are carried out and approved of by the Executive. Such conditions to (over copy of proposed rules, full list of names of officials and a list of the various clulis to he affiliated to the centre I'lie application will be finally .approved at the meeting of the council to ho held in Jan. next hut if they comply with the necessary conditions the application will he granted ami this will enable the Club to proe. ed with their year’s business. THE KEETON CLUB. The Heel'ton Howling Club’s semen was officially opened on Monday afternoon. when tin' weather was fine There was a good attendance of members of the Howling Club and of the Ladies’ Croquet Club, as well ns a fair sprinkling of the general public.
