SYDNEY MEETING. REDS RUSH THE CHAIRMAN. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, October 28. The Seamen’s meeting held to decide the fate of the" strike was again a fiasco to-day. The moderates sought to rescind all of the strike resolutions which proposal, if carried, would mean the resumption of work. The “Beds” attacked the proposal. All of the speeches were greeted with continuous hooting and shouting and the bitterest exchanges of threats. The “Reds” finally made a concerted rush towards the Chairman, Mr Daly, who, being thus unable to restore order, declared the meeting closed. Fighting and jostling prevailed for many minutes.
