THE HOUSE. (By Telegraph —Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 28. In the House of Representatives yesterday, Air Speaker announced lie had received Mr Bodkin’s resignation from the office of Chairman of Committees. Mr Forbes moved that Air Smith he. appointed to the position.

The Leader of the Opposition said there was no reason why a new Chairman of Committees should he appointed for the remaining fourteen days of the session.
