FOOTBALL.
SYDNEY LEAGUE TEAM. PRAISE FOR N.Z. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, October 27. The Eastern Suburbs Rugby League footballers returned by the Maunganui to-day. They describe their visit to New Zealand as wonderful, the hospitality being overwhelming, for which the manager expressed the deepest gratitude. The standard of play of the New Zealanders, he added. was much better than on the previous visit. The officials were very hard working, and were doing a great service to the League code. The gates were just fair, but the expenses were about covered.
