RADIO PROGRAMME
(Supplied by the Radio Broadcasting Company of N.Z. Ltd;) TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27th. From IYA this evening at 7.40, the Rev. W. Constable, M.A., will give the third of his series of W.E.A. talks on George Bernard Shaw. The lecturer on the evening’s International Programme will be Mr A. B. Chappell. He will ■speak on “A Look at the League of 'Nations,” 21 A's programme will be of the popular type. Mr W. E. Crewes (baritone) will be heard in three songs from a cycle by Conningsby Clarke. He will arso sing two Australian' songs, “Bush Night Song” and “The Stockrider's Song.” Miss Gwladys Edwardes (soprano) will delight listeners with four Woodforde-Finden songs. Two popular entertainers, Mr and Mrs Albert Russell, will be heard in two humorous interludes. The Band of the First Otago Regiment under'.Lieut, Llew 0. Asten will provide a programme at 4YA this evening. Solo items will be contributed by Miss Eveiyn Shepard (soprano), Miss iLiicy G. James l(contralto), Mr J. B. Hamilton (tenor), Mr F. G. Woods (bass), Mr Maitland M’Cutcheonj L.R. A.M. (violinist) and Bandsman G. Congalton (clarinetist). Silent day at 3YA.
