GENERAL ELECTION

DATE UNCERTAIN. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association J WELLINGTON, October 27. Mr . Forbes stated to-day that it was impossibe to fix the date for the general election until it was seen, how the work of the session proceeded. He also stated that the question of haw much legislation the Government intended to proceed with depended on the progress made in the House. He was hopeful the session would finish at the end of next week. The election will take place three weeks or a month after the prorogation of Parliament.
