WELLINGTON, Qatober 27. A cabin door, • believed to belong to | the Kotiti’g deck house,- was found floating in the sea about a chaifi Kapiti Island, by E. W- RaftirigeF; or I Palmerston North and ; F. A. Saunders | of Paraparaumu. The door was brought ,-Jto Wellington Harbour B ogl'd Office. It will he taken to the Marine Detriment to see if - it can be identified. LAD DROWNED. 3VANGANUI, October 27. Percy William Ohara, aged fourteen, was drowned in Wanganui river. With companions deceased went off the shore in a “flattie’.’ which commenced to fill. The .trio, jumped into the water but O’Hara could not swim. Lawrence Smith, a companion, dived for him but was unsuccessful. The body has 1 not be-ca located.
