THE PARTIES CONFER. (By Telegraph—Per-Pres* Association ) CHRISTCHURCH, October 27. A conference between directors ot Grey Valley Collieries Ltd. and the men was held for the purpose of reaching an .agreement for the resumption of work’ at- Dobson mine, which has been idle since October 1. It js reported rimt the-, men’s representatives have returned to the West Coast to submit proposals to the union which the Company hopes the men will accept.
