FATAL ACCIDENT
MR CHARLES RUGG KILLED. A fatal accident happened on ''Sunday afternoon resulting in the death of Mr Charles Rugg jtinr. of Greymouthy and serious injury to hits wne and child. it appears that they left in a, motor ear on Sunday afternoon for a run to Punakaiki and on the way the car left the road, going over a bank down to the rocks below. No one saw the accident. The husband . was killed, while -Mrs Rugg lay with ; l|)t a broken leg and other injuries, tho child being practically uninjured, No helji was forthcoming, and Mrs Rugg in addition to her injuries had the agony of seeing her husband’s body washed by tile naves and sue lay there all night, not being discovered till 1 o’clock on Alonday morning, attention being called to their nus.ortuiie n.y passers on the road above hearing tho cries of the child.
