SNOW AT REEFTON. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) GREY-MOUTH, October 25. There was a cold snap ye star day along the West Coast. Snow fell m Reeffton and cm the lower ranges through Westland and Grey. SNOW AT CHRISTCHURCH. CHRISTCHURCH, October 25. A fall of snow experienced over the province on Saturday morning was the heaviest for the month oi October since 1902. 'The fall lasted something over three hours, but tile deposit melted under the influence of the afternoon sun and nothing but good to the country, which had needed moisture, resulted. Saturday evening was very cold, but fortunately a hard frost did not eventuate yesterday morning to damage and retail'd lb t . spring growth. Lambing is well ad vanned and most of the lambs are sufficiently grown to withstand the weather of the week-end.
