ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
y BURNED TO DEATH. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) DARGAVILLE, October 20. Henry William Nichols (47), a storekeeper at Kaihu Settlement, twenty miles north of Dargaville, was burned to death in a fire which destroyed his store and an adjoining shop late last night. Indications are that deceased was trapped in endeavouring to recover some effects. A verdict of accidental death was returned at the inquest. Deceased is survived by a widow and five children.
