In response to a telegram to the police at Gollingwood asking particulars in regard to 'the progress of search, the Secretary of Marine has been advised by Constable Audley that his party have abandoned the search in the meantime and settlers along the coast are keeping a lookout, but there are no search parties out at present. The Marine Department will be advised of any further developments.
