It is proposed that there be a scientific revision of the tariff for the economic rehabilitation of Australia the abolition of the existing overlapping of industrial awards in the State and Commonwealth, to be achieved by conferring on the Federal authority the power to fix a basic wage and standard hours of work. POSITION OF WESTRALIA. QUESTION OF SECESSION. PERTH, October 21. Premier Mitchell informed the Assembly that a Bill will be introduced to enable a referendum on the question of secession to be taken.
