BUY N.Z. GOODS. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WAIPUKURAU, October 17. With the object of assisting Dominion secondary industrial development, and loyalty to Empire trading, a largely attended and very representative meeting of district women's organisations and citteens was held yesterday under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce. It was decided to hold a New Zealand and Eimpiro Shopping Week in Waipukurau, commencing on November 10th. ' : , : ‘ R.S.A. CRITICISE UNEMPLOYED HAMILTON, October 17. At a meeting of the Waikato Returned Soldiers’ executive last night, the opinion was expressed that a number of unemployed returned soldiers were not making a genuine attempt to obtain work, but"were quite content to live on relief w,ages and the assistance they could, obtain from (relief organisations. , It was decided that bp,'further relief be given except in cases of unemployment due to physical disability j or genuine misfortune.

Laburnum, is the passenger on the Ruahino. which is due at Auckland on November 1. Also on the Ruahine are lieutenant R. O. Lewis and other ratings.
