DR. BRUENING WINS. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) BERLIN, October 16. The Reichstag rejected by 294 cu 170 a Nationalist Communist no confidence motion. The vote was taken in an electrical atmosphere. The crowd was greeted with a storm of cheers. The majority comprised Socialists of all the Middle Parties, the Economic Party, and some members of the People’s Party, while Agrarians voted solidly against the Government.

The vote means that Chancellor Bruening has a free hand to rule Germany.
