The Hokitika Cycling Club opened their season with a Gillman Cup Race to Woodstock and. back. Conditions were favourable and fast times resulted, the winner giving an outstanding performance, riding off the limit he lost only 4 seconds to the scratch men. Result: K. Hewlett (300 sees.) ... 1 J. Honey (300 secs.) ... 2 H. Martin (100 secs.) ... 3 Fastest time, E. Cook (sor.) 24 min. 3 sec. Also started:—j. Havill (scr), E. Olseu (60), R. Olsen (60), E. Cook (180), R-. Little (180).
