THE GENERAL ELECTION. It is now understood on the best of authority that the possibility of another short session early in the New Year will not be remote should the Coalition Government continue in office without going to the country. The Minister of Finance hinted in bis supplementary Budget that the national accounts might require to be reviewed again before the end of the financial year, and if more legislation is required Parliament will have again to be summoned. —‘Parliamentary Correspondent.
