MOTOR TRAGEDY
AT PAJ.MERSTON NORTH, f j ßy Vrtti Astoeiation) PALMERSTON N., Oct. 18. Frank Ostyke, boxmaker, 55, Sedcole Street, Pahiatua, aged 20, a married man. with two children was-practically killed instantly at 12.20 on Sunday morning when a car in which he was a. passenger capsized at a bend 1| miles from the city. Albert Faucher, was the driver,, and it was a five seater car. William Baden Mills, of Pahiatua, was also aboard. The latte) • two escaped with shock, bruises, and minor cuts. The. party had been to Feilding for the day and were returning home „via Palmerston North. When tney reached Napier Road, near the Gas Works, they took a bad corner at a speed of 30 miles an hour, going a bit wide. The vehicle skidded, and capsized into a ditch on the right hand side. The deceased was pinned underneath. Mills and Faucher, assisted by a Gasworks employee, lifted the car, thus extricating the injured man, who died shortly afterwards, before help arrived.
