SLAUGHTERMEN’S STRIKE. (A usfralian Press Association.) MELBOURNE, October 17. Slaughtermen and export meat works are pursuing a go-slow strike as a protest against the employers’ refusal to pay higher wages. There is every probability that the entire Victorian Meat Export Trade will be brought to a standstill, Two thousand men are at present involved. Sheepgrowers, who were looking forward to a record trucking, are much perturbed at' the turn of events. GO SLOW TACTICS. BY SLAUGTRRMEN. MELBOURNE, October 17. Operations at all the meat export works throughout Victoria are entirely suspended owing to a go-slow strike introduced by slaughtermen. Two thousand employees have been paid off.
