The death occurred yesterday at the residence of his sister, Airs Gamble of Stillwater, of a well-known and highly-esteemed settler of the Grey. Valley, in the person of Mr Edward Ryan, at the age of 77 yean;. Hie deceased, who was a native of Caliii, County Tipperary. Ireland, had been on the West Coast practically all his life, farming at Ngahere and Nelson Creek. He went for a trip to Ireland about two years ago. The deceased is survived fty two sisters, Mrs Gamble, and another in Ireland. His brother, John, predeceased him some years ago.
