HEARING CONTINUED. (By Telegraph —Per Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, October 12. The third day of the hearing of the case in which A. J. White Ltd. claimed £10,865 from the Alt.. Cook Tourist Coy. Ltd. was begun in the Supreme; Court this morning before Air Justice Kennedy. Tile amount was alleged to be owing as the balance of cost of fur. nishing the Chateau at Tongariro Park. Pudolphe Lysaght Wiglev, manager director of the Alt. Cook Tourist Coy. and at the time of the liquidation; managing director of Tongariro Park Tourist Cov., continued his evidence for tlie defence.

Replying to Air Brown, counsel for Whites Ltd., Wiglev, said Afourit Cook Coy. advanced several thousands to Tongariro until the share capital of the latter company started to come in. He had told Air O’Connell of A. J. AATiite’s that the tw o companies were separate.

Mr Brown quoted from a letter with a Tonsrariro letter head, followed by the words ‘’Tn conjunction with the Mount Cook Company." "We considered it meant for the sake of advertising and generally letting the public know id! the different hotels we were interested in. and intended to he interested in. were all run together", declared witness. ‘•Thei last thing we wished to contoy was that: the two Companies were in any wa v one Company, or liable for each other’s finances.” Witness agreed that certainly a better expression could have been used.
