FAIL TO GET A’vVAY FROM N.Z;„
(By Telegraph—Per Press Association) GISBORNE, October 9; Seven stowaways w’ho boarded the steamer “Mahia” at Auckland in the hope ofgetting a passage to England, were put ashore at Gisborne. This morning they were brought before the Court, and each was sentenced to a fortnight's gaol. The men had stowed away in all parts of the ship, some going over and some under the boilers, and others in the shaft tunnels.
