LICENSING ACT. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 8. In a written judgment, Mr Page S.M., lias convicted Cissy Mira Brough, licensee of the Zealandia Hotel for selling liquor after hours, the case arising out of a set of circumstances in which a barman, James Fearon, her brother, was lined the maximum of £lO for supplying liquor after hours. She was fined £2 and costs.

The Baptist Union Conference to-day is considering missionary activities' of the church in reports being presented and eulogistic references made to the work of missionaries.
