KAWARAU RIVER CLAIMS. DUNEDIN, October 6. It was stated during the hearing of a civil action to-day that the report of Professor Hornell respecting the extraction of gold from the bed of the Kawarau river may he released in the near future. The report, it was explained, is now in the possession of a bank, which will release it on payment* c n the sum of £ISOO by t lie new company formed by the amalgamation of claim-holders’ interests.
