One or two pictures of the air have been screened but “The Sky Hanvk” excels previous productions, with its many thrills. John Garrick, a young English actor portrays the leading role. i From the stage to leading roles in 'talkjes in two pictures—that’s the *. speed record set by John Garrick, young British and Australian footlight favourite, who is the hero of . . “The Sky Hawk,” the first all-talking picture filmed in the air. A few weeks after his first appearance on the American stage, Garrick was signed by Fox Movietone. Fashionable London in action —<a cafe glittering with, uniforms and brilliant gowns —the forced, hectic gaiety of picadilly—the sinster wail of the Maron, the aid raid warning siren—out to the streets —crowds rushing in terror through the darkness —the wavering penicls of searchlights feeling through the distant crack of shrapnel and the incoming roar of Zeppelin bombs and crashing buildings —such is the beginning of one of the many spectacular scenes in 1 “The Sky Hawk.” Helen- Chandler plays opposite to John Garrick and both these leading artists are supported by an unusually stfpng'cast of artists.
