Gordon Kingsbury, 34, married, of Culverden, died as the result of injuries while tree felling. A tree slipped and crushed him against ■ another.

BRUISED AND GASHED. MAN’S FALL FROM EXPRESS. AUCKLAND, October 1. A railway clerk named H. S- Rowe was found lying alongside the track by the crew of a goods train about one o’clock this morning at Whangamarino. Rowe, who had been employed at the Ohakune office, left Auckland by the express last night. He said he was passing between the carriages while the train was running through the Whangamarino siding about 9 p.m. when he fell off. If was four hours .later when he was found. He was suffering front bruises and a gash on the head. He is now in Auckland Hospital for X-ray examination.
