BULL GORES FARMER
WILD SCENE AT SHOW. A bull which had gained a first prize at Worslev Agricultural Show, attacked its owner, knocked him to the ground, and then tossed him, breaking two of his ribs, says an English paper. The man, Mr Percy' Jubb, aged 50, ol Four House Farm, Clegg’s Lane, Little Hu Iton, was taken to the ambulance tent where Dr Calaghan, of YYalkden. attended and ordered his removal to Bolton Infirmary. Mr Jubb was in a serious condition.
Mr Charles Moore, of Victory Street. Hulme, Manchester, who was among the hundreds of visitors who saw the ineiclynt," told the "Sunday Chronicle" that Mr Jubb was about to get the bull ready to take it back to Little Hulton, when it rushed at him.
“The man tried to pick himself up,” said Mr Moore, “but the bull seemed to get wilder, than ever and rushed at
him again. “It pinned him against the stall and threw him over its back into the aii. He fell some yards away. “A crowd of men surrounded tlm hull and managed ;to secure it with ropes, although in its frantic efiorts to get free it tore away some of the hoards of the stall.”
