(Received this day at 11.15 a.m.) ■WINNIPEG, September: 29. , Following a 'Communist riot last night, in which seven were arrested, and three; policemen seriously injured, during a pitched battle, Mayor Webb swore in a special force of emergency constables to-day and threatening martial law. When, the City Council refused, to hear the leader, T. 0. Woods, two hundred Communists invaded the hall. An Alderman'was hit by a stone and 50 were injured, when the police with' a baton charge drove the mob out.
