CASE BEFORE COUNCIL. DECISION EXPECTED SOON. “WELLINGTON, September 28. The Executive Council is expected to make a decision this week in the case of George Rameka, who was sentenced to death on August 6 for the murder at Auckland on June 24 of Mrs Gwendoline Johnson. The relevant papers r,re now before the Attorney-General (the Hon. W. Downie Stewart) and there is every probability that the Executive will meet to-morrow to consider the case and decide whether the sentence should be carried out or otherwise.
